The Baraadsar Lake is a sacred lake that lies on the border of Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh tucked between the Rupin and Supin valleys in the Western Garhwal Himalayas. Tucked away inside a massive cauldron, this bowl-shaped high altitude Baraadsar Lake has high ridges converging from all sides making it one of the least explored treks in the area. The ultimate thrill is a rewarding summit push to reach the lake which makes it a unique trek. This trek is meant for trekkers with previous trekking experience. This moderate level trek involves a good fitness level due to a series of ascents. Trek this offbeat trail to enjoy unimaginable vistas and stunning sceneries. Pre-monsoon months of mid-May and June and the post-monsoon months of September and October is the best time to do this trek
The Baraadsar Lake Trek is one of the very few explored treks in The Himalayas. It is located between the Rupin and Supin valley on the northeastern part of Uttarakhand close from the Himachal border, heading east and then south. The trek starts out from the Rupin valley through various villages, forest and finally over the ridge separating Rupin and Supin valleys with excellent panoramic views. You will see some of the most beautiful campsites during the trek.
At the Baradsaar Lake, you will get to see the spectacular view of great mountain peaks like the Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Kalanag towards the East and the peaks around Kinnaur and Supin Valley towards the West. In some places the trek might get exhausting and long in some places, so you need a lot of fitness.
The final will take you to a high ridge at 4400 mts overlooking the lake, with the view from the ridge being really stunning. Gradually you will find yourself standing before a cauldron shaped snowfield. In the middle of this cauldron lies the Baradsaar Lake. The lake stays frozen for most of the year.
On the primary day of our experience, we are able to move closer to Dhaula from Dehradun which is round 207 km and takes 7-8 hours of time. Dhauls is five,a hundred toes above sea level. We will drive via the scenic splendor of Mussoorie, Nainbagh, Damta, Naugaon, Purola, Mori, Netwar and will enjoy the journey. In among the journey, we will have our lunch after which will continue the journey. Our base camp is Himri and from here we are able to start our trek. Baraadsar Lake is around three-4 hours far from Dhaula. The area is blanketed with diverse stunning factors like mountains blanketed with snow, nearby villages, thick forests, flowers, and fauna.
The 2nd day will cover the journey from Himari to Sarutal that is 7 km in distance and takes five-6 hours to reach. Sarutal is at an altitude of 2000 m.The trek starts via crossing various pine forests and a steep climb. It is usually recommended to carry water bottles with you. There are some high-altitude villages in between the adventure. Suggestions are to follow your guide and his instructions. At first, you'll attain Bitri village which is a beautiful vicinity in itself as it has many attraction factors. There are certain homes made from timber, human beings are superb over right here, Kinnauri style temples appearance terrific. Then publish lunch we will head in the direction of Sarutal. This night to be spent right here in among the plush inexperienced meadow. After dinner, you'll rest here in tents in a single day.
Today our journey direction is Sarutal to Badang that's eight km away and requires five-6 hours to attain at an altitude of 2600 m. Spending an entire night time in Badang is an adventure in itself. The vicinity is rich in herbal habitats and of course, is capable of providing you with plenty of recollections. You will enjoy the entire trek to Badang through experiencing many things. Badang is surrounded by Deodar trees and looks splendid. After dinner, take an excellent night time’s sleep for your tents.
The fourth day begins with a trek from Badang to Masunda Dhar (Vijay Top) at a distance of 9 Km & a time of 4-five hours. Masunda Dhar is at a peak of 3600 m. This trek is quite lengthy and you may experience fatigued. Water bottles need to be carried. Your trek will begin from Oak forests and then the altitude gets better. After the lengthy trek, you may attain Masunda Dhar within the predicted term.
Today you'll have to cowl a distance of seven km so that you can take four-five hours to reach Baraadsar Ridge(4300m) from Dev Basa. The trek is tough these days and additionally a protracted one. Finally, the day to reach Baraadsar Lake from Baraadsar Ridge. And on the same day, we will get back to Dev Basa. The whole trek is 13 km & will take 6-7 hours. The lake looks dark because of the shadow of the mountains reflected in its water. After enjoying Baraadsar Lake, we will return to Dev Basa.
Second last day of the trip from Dev Basa to Rahla Village (Fhitari Village) and then drive to Sankri Village which is 11 km away. The whole journey will take 6-7 hours. In the morning after breakfast, the trek will start towards Daldhar. You will encounter meadows, pine forests. You will also see locals working in their agricultural land. In the midway, lunch break will be done. At last, we will reach Jakhol.
Last but not the least, we will reach Sankri to Dehradun. The distance to be covered will be 210 km. Early leaving will help you to reach Dehradun earlier.

Normally Trip on Himalaya expect to carry your personal luggage on your own, if you wish to offload your backpack, you can give it to Mule.
Charges of offloading backpack:-

INR 1500/- if you inform us after reaching Sankri
The backpack cannot weigh more than 11 kgs. Backpack should have waterproof cover. Suitcases/strolleys/ bags will not be allowed.
